        Mike,

That's alot of stuff you DON'T need... why multiple video editing suites and audio suites?

        Here's what we have:

        Graphics:

Adobe Photoshop CS4 (graphic, logos, print)
        Dreamweaver CS4 (Website)
        Flash PRO (Flash, duh)
        3DS Max (3D renderings)
        Adobe Illustrator CS4 (Logos)

        Video:

        Final Cut Pro (editing)
        Adobe After Effects CS4 (effects)
        Motion (effects)
        iDVD (DVD authoring)
        Canon HV30

        Audio:

        Logic Pro (Audio suite)
        EastWest VI's (plug-ins)
        Universal Studios Sound Effects Library
        M-Audio USB Equipment

... That's really all you need as far as a digital studio is concerned!

Was wondering what you guys would recommend as far and necessity packages to put a decent graphics package, webpage, and video together! I have a small budget and can afford large software packages right now!

I thought about buying the full version of Adobe photoshop to play around with graphics and my wife likes to scrap book so she would like it for the photo alterations. Is it worth it? What does Adobe illustrator do?

If you have multiple uses - YES it is worth it. Plus you can download a trial version from the site to start with...

I have the entire Adobe Library and it has a lot of applications.

There are locations on the web that have 'shared' software. Not that I recommending - but it's nice to try before you buy. Especially w/ an investment as this.

                We use the following.

                Full Adobe Web Design Suite
                -Photoshop
-Illustrator (dont really use it cause its not as easy to use as photoshop)
                -Dreamweaver
                -Contribute
                -Premiere Pro
                -Encore

We use all this hooked up to mackbook, with huge external monitor.
And have it set up on a google webhost so employees can share ideas between each other.
We have a truly amazing artist on site - Kelvin Brown, along with several professional graphic artists -, and several kids that have taken up to 5 years of graphic design classes.

So everyone on staff has some form of artistic ability.

                umm
we use garage band for some of our editing
                we also use
                Sonar Producer 7
We got a small recording , and mastering studio in house, so we can make just about anything happen.

I know im forgeting something but yeah.

Also just a question you realize some of you have listed about 20 to 25 grand in software, possible more i believe.
We just talking downloading them and getting keygens, or did u purchase them.
Cause im trying to figure out if it would even be worth it to purchase like 5 different premiere audio editing programs, and 5 plus video editing one. At that point would be cheaper to hire a company to do the work for you....

We purchased all of ours... once our company site goes live and we start offering services with this software, it'd be best if we had bought and registered the product! ...

We have the ONLY fully digital media suite in the industry... we've put around $80K into it... that's all software and hardware! We can do anything from graphic/web design to voice-over and custom music! -Tyler

Not yet, like I said... our company site isn't up yet; once it's up we'll be offering services, but we really won't be advertising them until closer to next season. Also, we're not just focusing on haunts... we're going to focus on all sorts of needs:

                        -Local Business
                        -Indy Movies/Films
                        -Horror/Haunts
                        -Local Bands

                        Etc. etc...

                            Graphic Software Packages

I bought the Adobe Designers Bundle for my Mac.
                            I use Photoshop CS4
                            Illustrator CS4
                            Dreamweaver (web program software) CS4
                            Flash CS4

(I am currently teaching myself Flash--new, exciting and technical)
I have been working in advertising for 11 years now...a plus for starting out in this industry. I would recommend checking out some websites with tutorials etc. before buying any programs...get yourself acquainted with the difficulty level before diving in. Local colleges have weekend/evening classes for web design that might be beneficial as well (most times you can buy the programs at a student discount, which helps in the cash department). Have fun & good Luck! :0)
