A short segment from our 2008 season. Should have the longer, better quality version on our website in the near future.
    Enjoy!

    Wonderful job!
I love your sets and use of actors!
    Very well done!

    PS
I remember seeing something about Devious Concoctions making a large pirate for your entrance, with a head from Unit 70... Did you ever end up using it? I've never seen pictures or videos of it and I really wanted to see how it turned out!

    Zach,
Yeah, we still have the giant pirate that Brent built us maybe 4 or 5 years ago. Still working fine and has held up to the weather well. He starts out about 4' tall (crouched over) and then extends up to 12'. He normally sits on a 12' tall section of facade. which then makes his head about 25' above the crowds.

Don't think it's in any recent videos, there is a daylight shot of him "at rest" in the 2006 video, so you might have to come out in October to actually see him perform

Dang! I've been dying to see that thing in action!

And I really wish I could make it in October... Your haunt looks fantastic! Spent a couple hours on your website watching your videos! You are a true insperatoin! You have come a long way!

    Excellent video!

I remember about a year ago when I thought I had come up with a really original idea for a haunted house.... A haunt based on pirates. About a week later I found the Pirates of Emerson website, ha ha! Seems like you beat me to the idea by a decade or so...

Karl and his crew do our state proud. California is pretty pathetic as far as haunts go. The most populated state in the country, with 12 percent of the entire population and 50 percent more than the No. 2 state, and you have to look to find a decent haunt. Yes, they are out there but many cities in the midwest and northeast outdo our entire state.
