Hey guys a couple questions. Wondering if anyone has heard of the valley of fear? If you havnt I'd really check it out. It has elaberate settdesigne and great costumes and makeup and I would have to say the most detailed pirate haunt I'd ever seen. Ok now I'm wondering what character ideas you haunters have for me I'm so sick of playing leatherface. I'm six foot 300lbs of a haunting machine LOL but u can't take a movie character to the next level I want to do somthing on my own with the help of you the haunters of the world. So your thoughts please

Wow your a big boy. Well honestly we cannot create characters for you, thats more your thing. Make the character your own, could be a combination of all the horror movie characters if you like. But once you get a general outline get back to us, we can help with costumes, line advice, names things like that. But we cannot create characters for you, gotta meet us half way here please.

lol i could have worded that alil better i wrote that last post in a hurry from my phone didnt really think about it. i guess what im asking for is suggestions. yea i have a few idea such as and ogre/troll u know chracters of that nature to fit my stature. as far as that goes taking a childrens character suck as shrek and taking in to a whole other twisted dark and sadistic level. thats just some of the things i have on my mind

I would almost suggest the complete opposite. Dress up as a schoolgirl in short skirt and tied off button down shirt and act like a pretty, pretty princess. If your hair is too short, wear a wig put up in pigtails.

I think it would really weird out folks, especially if you carried a knife or axe and a severed head and asked people if they wanted to play with you. (And then got REALLY mad if they didn't)

Something similar to this. I know that I'd be freaked out if I saw this coming at me...

            Its true, crossdressers scare people.
Honestly my friend, the sky is the limit. I cannot think of a character that you CANNOT be because of your stature, if anything it only opens up your options.
Um the shrek/twisted ogre thing is a great idea, but it could get tedious trying to make it look good. Badger has a good suggestion.

I agree with everyone else. Coming up with your own character is the best, because you fully create the background your character, so you know its background story. Its something completely custom to you, even if its just a simple pirate character.

One thing I do agree on with others is to use your physique to help conjour your monster. Im 20 with a few extra pounds, so i can be a nimple character, or equally look like a menacing freak. it just depends on my character. In my opinion, I think that actors who are old/large yet dress like children or something along the like, are very freaky. trust me. I dont think it looks dumb or anything.

Ever see the movie thirteen ghosts? great monsters, and they are of all diffrent types. for your stature, I say think on these two characters, as an example of what you can do.

though your haunt is nautical themed, you can definatly create some awesome characters, and become the monster thats deep inside you

Pull from your surroundings or your personal life. I usually tend to create characters on the spur of the moment because i see a costume or a clothing piece that i really want to wear or to build upon.

Ex. I did a mercenary character at convention this year for the simple fact that i really wanted to incorporate a barbed wire top, so i built on that

I created my main character nip, for the simple fact that im a dancer and can contort myself into all kinds of weird angles and i knew it would look good

Pull from something you love, or something that inspires you, pull from pictures is always a good suggestion, i like to search all over the internet and check out twisted art that inspires me.

Dont pull as much from movies, you want to make your own character, not a knockoff

Hope this was helpfull, if you are in need of more assisstance please feel free to contact me i love helping build and design characters!

Oddette has great advice. I looked up to my uncle who was a doctor.
Thus inspired the character "Dr. FeelGood, I'l chop it off and make it feel good!"
Listen to her, she knows what she is saying....kinda.
