  • The HHA needs your help!

The HHA is collecting "Haunted How To's" to help with our safety outreach program. What I need is a few sentences describling a cool idea like "monster mud" or " making a fog chiller". A photo would be helpful but not needed.

These will be packaged with safety info and made available to everyone this October.

    Lighting tips

One of the cheapest easiest ways to alter lighting effects indoor or outdoor it to use Black Wrap and Gaffing tape. What ever kind of lighting or light bulb you are using this Black Wrap can be used to direct the beam, dim it down, split the beam or create unique effects. The effects you can get with this stuff are limited only by your imagination.

It is essentially thick flat black heat resistant foil. You just cut a piece from a roll and attach it with gaff tape to the base any light source like a cone. You can bend or crunch the foil to distort the beam of light, make it wider or all the way down to a tiny beam of light or an irregular pattern, lighting only the items you want while casting shadows where you want also. You can cover the light completely and poke holes in the foil for a bunch of small beams.

Just remember to fold the edges over because it is extremely sharp on the edges when cut. Just look up Black Wrap on Google to find suppliers in your area or on line. Here is just one.

Hope this gives people some ideas on lighting.
