We are attending both events. We will be vending at TW and covering the event and also doing double marketing by hitting up Fango that same time.

We are actually staying at the Wyndam where Fango is taking place same as Screamline, and Virgil that I know of.

Can never hurt to hit up two and get more exposure and also have some fun.

My wife flew out to LA one time to go to Fango, so when she heard about it being so close she was planning to go , of course I would be at Transworld for at least Friday.
If there was a Ferrel frisky-cat convention in an alley somewhere between Fango and Transworld, Mr. Tuxedo would be making the trip too!
Adam might have a tough choice? Should he cover the Ferrel Frisky Cat Convention ? Or Fango and Transworld?
Ferrel Frisky Cat Con.-- best of both worlds!

Last year I put Fango in touch with TW because the Fango show in Chicago was being held a few weeks before. I told Tony Timpone that he should schedual the show at the same time as the Halloween Show. Transworld called Fango and now you have the Fango show at the same time. At one point it was talked about having the Fango show in the same building.

Don't be surprised to see that happen!

Hey Ken, you probably remember that we promoted our attraction in 2005 as having "Smellorama" with the use of your products. Last year we didn't use the phrase smellorama again, but we did state that we incporporate the lastest in fear technology and assault all the senses, including the sense of smell. People coming through the attraction were still yelling out "Smellorama PU!"

Does anyone think that the Fangoria show will hurt Haunt vendors? I know of one group who is abandoning Transworld, spending the whole day Saturday at Fangoria. Less time at Transworld = less vendor exposure = less $$$ for Haunt vendors???

                    No not at all...

You're talking about two totally different animals. Lets just be honest for a second... The haunt section at TW is very small, and can be viewed in less than 30 minutes. When I say that I mean seriously you can walk the whole section including the dark zone in 30 minutes and from that you can know exactly what you want. You can spend an entire DAY dealing with vendors, getting your orders in and whatever else sure. But you could do all of that in one day, and see the whole Halloween show downstairs.

Last year I walked the whole Halloween show in about 2 or 3 hours.

When you include the Halloween section this is a massive show, but haunt only not so huge. There are ONLY so many haunt vendors, and TW has every single one of them. No haunter of any size will go to Fango and not TW... unless they're seriously ill.

Fango is for the horror fan, fan of horror movies, not for those who own and operate haunted houses, unless you want you're a horror fan or want to talk to someone about making an appearance.

Having both events at the same time will hurt business , but about next May they will find the bodies of all the missing customers after the snow melts, all frozen to death in Northern Illinois in Febuaray attempting to travel back and forth between the two, each one still clutching the free tote bags full of flyers and wedding catalogs.

Great point Larry. Yes, you can see the whole show floor in a good amount of time. Also, the Fango crowd and TW crowd are different yet the same.

I think it poses no threat at all for vendors or numbers.

Just a bonus for added fun throughout the weekend.

                          Absolutely Jon...

In addition to boothing at TransWorld I plan on hitting
Fangoria just to see what's happening.
