Oh. My. God

That looks awful. I've heard mention of either this haunt or one similar where they can grab you and force you on a bed a "pretend" to rape you...sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen!! And the fact they make you go in alone...something's not right I tell ya. If anyone's gone, let us know how it was!

No matter which haunt does it, I agree that pretend rape is never OK and is crossing a line that should never be crossed.

I would also like to know more about this haunted attraction if anyone knows anything.

Thanks for the additional info, Jayne. It sounds like this is definitely NOT the haunt that pretend rapes customers, but it does sound horrifying.

And on a side note, I noticed a non-related picture on the upper right side of the article in your link that was for air sex championships. What in the world? Never mind. I really don't need an explanation. I just thought it was ironic.

I would imagine that a lot of the local church groups would be up in arms over a haunt like that.

Those are the least interesting teaser videos ever.

This place has to be put into the context of NYC. It's a simple fact that as long as you're not breaking the law anything can and will be deemed entertainment and/or art. "Mainstream" art films by Andy Warhol would have been labeled porn anywhere but in NYC, and that was the seventies. I'm surprised there aren't more niche shock-performance works like this there with the glut of actors and art directors there.

I don't condone or condemn this form of entertainment just pointing out that it's acceptability is relative to the market.

Midsummer Nightmare

Hey guys thanks for all the posts. Yeah, place does look a little convtroversial. Kinda like a hell house/shock show with out the religious aspect. Anywho, I just happen to stumble upon it Friday before I was leaving work and thought that someone online, here, might be in the know. Definitely not my kind of show but interesting to see what they are doing.
