Ok folks, this is where it all starts, the picture thread for this year's haunt, I finally made the decision to go through with it this year, and I am pretty excited, but I know there will be a ton of bumps in the road, and it will be difficult, but after this year once I get some experience, things will hopefully get easier, the first news is, I have been accepted by a charity, and it will be official probably in two days, I will not announce the charity until it is locked, but once it is I will very gladly announce it.

second, I am discussing a new website with a few companies and will hopefully have one under construction soon, the charity will do a lot of advertising, so that should help.

As soon as we get in a building, I will take pictures and post them, I am working on getting a building very soon.

i may be opening this year as well. not sure yet. if i do it will be something small, and 2010 will still be the big year.

I actually pm'd him this question a few weeks ago because I wanted to know as well. I hope you don't mind me hijacking the thread for 2.5 and posting this, but he replied back to me with: "After I post I want the reader to know how I am feeling at the time. So if I said Shane and its wild Shane this time. I want the reader to know at that moment I am a little on the wild side. Or if I said Shane and its just Shane this time. That would make the reader say he ended his post with just Shane. This question has been asked by someone on a thread once and to my suprize most knew where I was coming from and that it repersented the mood I was in at the time. Did this confuss you or clear it up for you. Shane and its I hope this clears things up! Shane this time."

Tomorrow the charity will probably be official, and I am going to make a call on a building I really like, from there, I will start getting wood and props and stuff ready, wish me luck on getting the building!!!!

Once we get in things will hopefully move quickly and we will begin working shortly after moving in.

Well, we didn't get that building we wanted, but we are going to start making more calls on Monday. Our next choice is not as good as the one we didn't get, its 2,100 square feet, but it is very close to our house, after that, we have a place in a shopping center that is about 3000 to 5000 square feet that we will try to get.

alright, we most likely found our building, the building extremely large, but we don't have to use it all, we will find other things to house in the areas of the building we don't use, I spoke with the owner of the building and we will know by Tuesday, wish me luck!!

Ok, the charity we were going to work with spoke with us right before he was about to approve us, and said that we could have no gore, no chainsaws, no sexual themes, and ultimately no real scare factor that I would consider over a three, out of ten, oh and it had to be a family event, with kids of all ages welcome.... I was so pissed, hell no im not working with that charity, but Im working with a new charity now and things are moving very quickly, I will get approval Friday, and will be ready to rock and roll then.
The location is most likely found, and its great, it almost gurantees more traffic if we get it...

PS. please pray for me im going to be having surgery tomorrow, It is a minor operation, but I will be recovering for a good while, and hopefully it wont affect the haunt much at all this year.

ok so my surgery went good, now its haunting time....... tomorrow I will hopefully be ready to roll with the charity, and the location im getting the final answer soon...

I think I will be getting the contract signed tomorrow with the charity, this week is when things will really start happening here, I know that we are very far behind, but Im gonna bust my butt playing catch up these next few weeks. This week, I am going to start searching for a building like crazy, the charity is also working hard on trying to find us a location, and we will be talking with potential sponsors. I plan on being in the building by not this sunday, but the next, I will have all of the building materials ready when we get in the building and we will quickly begin working. Please pray that everything gets finished before October 15th! Here is kind of an idea of what i plan on doing...

- this week, getting approved by charity, speaking with potential buildings, donors and sponsors.
-Next Week, getting lumber, getting in a building, starting to frame walls
Three weeks- Continuing to stand up walls
four weeks- continuing to put up walls
five weeks- finish construction
six- 8 weeks- set design
8-9 weeks- final set up and such

this will of course be adjusted considerably during the next few days. I can promise pictures by two weeks from now,
