  • Foam Latex Prothstetics

Are they worth the price? Just as an example: the scream team (screamteam.com) do they really move with your face and stay stuck like they should?

The hold of the prosthetic is dependent upon the size of your face in comparison to the prosthetic, and the make-up techiniques or make-up artists used to attach the piece on. With the right techniques you can get any to stay on and stick all night (and then some if you aren't careful about your hair).

From my experience, scream team has some of the softess foam, but boneyard has a good variety, but they are thicker. CFX also yeilds some quality pieces, not too thick, just soft enough.

If you remove the piece properly and clean it after each use, it can last a year or two. You just need to take the effort to clean after each use.

Another company is screamline studios, they make slip latex prosthetics. Which also move with your face and I believe you can turn them into sock masks also. In fact when you buy one they might even come with a video showing you how. www.screamlinestudios.com

            There's a difference

"Foam" latex appliances (ie. scream team) attach to your face with the right adhesive and move like a second skin if attached correctly. They give a great effect but aren't nearly as durable as the regular slush latex masks (Screamline).
Screamlines adhese to your skin and do move good and hold up to wear ( more durable) than the foam ones. And are much, much more economical and can get many good uses.
Foam, in my experience, tends to rip too easily - good for one to two times use.
SL's latex can be used with a little TLC for a whole season.
I've used both types at the haunts I managed, and Screamline would be the way that I go.
And "Strangles the Clown" is totally a sexy mask! LOL
