  • My pumpkin patch....start

So Im making pumpkins for a pumpkin patch scare zone at SCREAMS this season.
The pumpkins are turning out great so i thought I would share.
    the final sans greenery

in progress before ribs are formed

    My pile after 2hrs work

Im going for the same kind of look that a pumpkin patch near Hagrid's house in one of the Harry potter movies. these are a few of the smaller pumpkins and the big ones are on the shop table.

      Thank you,
They are orange balloons filled with ab foam, its 2lb marine rigid foam. It expands the balloon and then I use a yard stick to crush in the ribs, once they are pressed in I tie off the balloon so the air does not reinflate the foam. they still need some detail airbrushing and greenery but they are coming along.

          I Always Wanted Too..

Make a big Jack-O-Lantern out of concrete, then the vandal who tries to carry it off and smash it in the middle of the street will get a double hernia instead!
Or a broken toe when they kick it!

If possible, you could put a very large pumpkin, with its mouth and the like carved out and hollowed, and put body parts inside of its mouth, and sticking out.

              Thats fun,
If I ever go darker with the patch then I will do that. Right now i want it full of classic halloween spirit, Scarecrows, and a werewolf who lives in the pumpkin patch dog house. Its not a whole house, just a scare zone, a themed area with characters.

Neat ^_^ One of the houses at HHN was completely themed after Halloween last year. I think that is where the gore pumpkin came from.

I think it's extremely witty and cute that you are putting the werewolf in the dog house x3

Allen, where do you get this marine foam? I know polyurethane foams are fairly expensive. Wonderful creative idea you can up with. I have a skull mold I made and would love to find an inexpensive way to make hundreds of foam casts. Please let me know where you purchased. Thanks

                      Decorating in the spirit of...

                      Pol Pot?
A few millions of skulls all over his country, all actually real too!
                      Spooky.
                      Not cute.
