    This just doesnt belong

This whole thing is ridiculous, they are trying to turn the haunt industry into a competition. Bashing other haunts does nothing since most patrons will hit most of the haunts in their area anyway, regardless of what they hear, so why try it?

      This Is Why.

Any haunted attraction is a compilation of a person's ideas and with most people they have the same reguard for their own ideas as they would have for a child of their own.
Slap someone's kid and see how mad they become!
Along with this, nobody likes to have worked for "nothing", if nobody shows up in October.......
Of course smart people can use negative words to their advantage because it still beats going totally unnoticed by the world.

"You Can Fool Some Of The People.."

          .."some of the time...but.
That whole "Customer/Thing"...people seeing all of the local haunts anyway?"
Maybe people will return/visit the ones they think are worth seeing again? No amount of advertising will influence this, impress the customer and see them return, they will also be "selling" the experience for you to their friends and relatives..neighbors.
The customer "Votes" with the dollar bills.
          It's so simple, isn't it?

            Jim:

PM-ed you. I don't think that it is fair for me to respond to a lot of this while Ricky is out of the country on attraction business.

Sometimes when you have too much to say, it is best to say nothing at all.

But I will let this link speak for me, and ask what the rest of you think about it:

I see this type of thing all the time.

For some reason, people from one haunt often want to slam another attraction that they consider "competition". This whole idea of competing haunts has gotten out of hand. If they would just pull their head out of their @sses, they would realize that cross-promotion is the way to go. I know several haunts in Illinois that practice cross-promotion and have done so with great success. In my personal opinion, people take the time to slam other nearby haunts are immature idiots.

I don't know how the whole google review thing works, but here is how I do business. With my visitor review section, visitors of my site are allowed to post reviews... I personally read each review that is submitted and if it seems like someone from another haunt wrote the review (it's easy to tell), it isn't posted online, period!
                Happy Haunting,

Ok so I just got done reading Ethans long post.

First thanks buddy for writing a novel, and putting the Cliff Notes at the bottom. So what your trying to say is this is someone that went to MHC wrote the review but someone from demon house posted it on google. Is this correct?

Second Chris I tried to call Ricky the other day and that explains why he didnt call back. I cant imagine what hes feeling while he is out of the country and all this is going down.

Third I wanted to thank Scott for pointing all of this out so us traveling actors can see it and know which haunt not to go to. This really helps.

I've always said this is like the movies. The studios would go out of business next month if everyone only went and saw one movie, but that's not what happens. They will pick the one they want to see first, or the one with the shortest line, or the one at a convenient time first. But they will go see the others. There might have been a time many years ago when you might only see one movie a month but that was a long time ago.

Same thing with haunts. The only thing that is going to change your mind is if the first few are really bad or crap like this starts discouraging you from going to any of them.
