    Hard to believe?

I really find this hard to believe based on how busy i am.
Maybe this will effect the cheaper retail stores like WALMART etc?
But it is crazy how busy we ALL are building props.

Speaking of WALMART, I went in today just to see if I saw anything cool...it was dismal. There were NO props...just cheap costumes and makeup. But I think you're right, it'll impact stores like WALMART and such the most.

Is it just me orrr ??

Is it just me or do all the retail stores sell less merchandise than the yearr prior ? I mean Walmart seems to have less...they have moved isles arounin an attempt to make it look better but ( Im not buying it ) I think they have less to sell.

And all the stores seem to be selling the same items as before but with less quality.... here's an example, Autozone - feul pump replacement - replaced and pump went bad 6 mos later so replaced again...lasted 3 mos. I am mechanically inclined gre up working on cars.... other people seems to have the same complaints. Seems companies have lowered the quality of their products to save money meanwhile charging same price... this seems to be happening to everything I purchase... Maybe its just me ?

Quality is usually the first thing that takes a hit when everybody wants everything cheaper....Walmart is the worst for the "Made in China" junk on their shelves, but nobody wants to pay extra to get something that will last. We unfortunately live in a throw away minded society. As far as Autozone, with the exception of brakes and alternators, I wouldnt touch any of their parts...my time is way too valuable to lose doing things 2-3 times....

Just because "Walmart" isnt doing so hot with some cheesy props doesn't mean the whole industry is taking a tail spin. Its like movies, Even in hardships people want to be entertained, they either go to a movie or yet in October visit a haunted house. There is a difference. Honestly I build my own props mostly so its not a big hurt for my haunt :P

This is the perfect example of a self-fulfilling prophecy. The stores have less merchandise out than they did last year, and fewer of the more expensive items. So in November when they total up their sales, guess what they are going to discover? Sales were down this year. Imagine that!

If you normally print and sell 25,000 tickets for your haunt and this year you only printed 15,000 (and you must have a ticket to go through) guess what? I absolutely guarantee your attendance is going to be down this year. Guaranteed.
