A good name for my house this year.
Last year was frightmares, the year before was the sanctuary, then it was the slaughterhouse. I need a good name for it this year. Any ideas?

I'm not sure yet, that's the first issue. I had a lot come up this year and didn't think I'd be able to have one, but I had a meeting last night and decided that I'll do it, but I'll be out of town, so my family will have to run it. I usually start planning in June, but I didn't this year. I need a good theme and name.

I have no clue to how to are going to pull this off so late into the season. Kinda hard question to answer with the information you have given. I have no clue what you have to use or what kind of space you have. I would have so many ideas to throw out, but if you don't have a starting point it would be kinda hard to answer this. First thing that crossed my mind was something Vegas themed. Maybe casino gone wrong with numerous reasons and story ideas to pick from. Call it Cataclysm. That is just something real quick off my mind.

I am kind of upset that I don't have much time. But the thing is, I do this in my house and throughout my backyard. But I make the paper every year because it's pretty much the only real haunted house in my town. I live in Boulder City, NV. It's like 20 minutes from Vegas and the population is under 14,000.
So it starts in my front yard, goes into the house, through out all the bedrooms and bathrooms, then out side, around my backyard and then down my 70 foot driveway. I have a pretty big space to work with, but this year I might be limited because of the time restraints.
So any theme, I build a lot of my own props and I make my own soundtrack every year.

Brad, your a great guy for doing something like that. I would never let anyone through my whole house. That is very cool. The casino idea would not work. So I have a different idea, that can still give the town something fun and would be easier to do and cost less. Do a Haunted Theater. Build a large screen in your yard somewhere, make whole bunch of "Halloween" snacks to sell and serve and charge people to come and watch scary movies with you outside. Nothing like hot chocolate, munchies, a warm blanket on the ground in the elements watching a horror flick with a group of people that would make them smile. Show new movies each night. Have people working all be in costumes. Make the area feel like a Haunted Theater with some props. Have a Menu that the staff could hand out that would list all the nasty treats available and serve them restaurant style. This way, your family won't kill you cause your gone, your house can stay calm, your pockets not so empty, the town will have fun and your not so stressed.

Thank you, sorry it's taken me forever to respond. I've been talking with a few people around town and I decided that I can't let Boulder City down! This will be the 10th anniversary for my Haunted House, and I just can't not do it.

I've gone with the theme "The Freak Show"

You can check out my website. I haven't updated it much. But I hopefully will get around to rebuilding it and adding music and new videos and pictures.

I'll keep you updated. I've got 14 days to pull this off!

    =)

    Wish me luck!
