  • Light O Rama ??

    Hello All,

Has anyone used garage band to create their own musical score then transfer it to LOR to put lighting to it? I purchased a LOR kit but I am running into problems transferring the MP3 files from the Mac to my PC. I asked LOR but they said they do not have much experience with a MAC.

    Any advise anyone?
Do I need to use a specific program to save the MP3 in order to upload it to the LOR software?

    Thanks!

Is it the transfer from the Mac to PC that's causing problems, or are you getting it to the PC OK but can't import into Light-O-Rama? An MP3 should make the transfer between computers without problem.

        sorry..

        Sorry I wasnt clear.
I am able to get it to my PC with out a problme. When I go to upload it in the LOR Software it keeps giving me errors. I am wondering if I should burn it onto a disk. Then rip it thru some software LOR says to use, then upload it to the LOR programs.

        Thanks for all the help!

What you should do to 100% make sure a mp3 is good on a pc is to import it into audacity and then export it using the LAME mp3 encoder. It says on the LOR website that all mp3s tested with LOR are encoded using the LAME encoder. Plus for some stange reason exporting using the LAME mp3 encoder increases the accuacy of the sync in LOR. So try using audacity with LAME.

              HELP with LOR!

              Soooo....
I have now been able to open a music sequence but I am still running into a prob with a blank sequence screen and no music.. I have tried LOR but they said they don't know much about uploading music from garage band to an MP3 then into LOR. I am new to the Lighting control software.. would it be possible for someone to send me a what to do next list from start to finish.. nothing to in depth but basic stuff.

Any help or thoughts would be very much appreciated.

I'm going to sleep I have a headache.

Did you select animation sequence instead of musical sequence?

#1 Try uninstalling the LOR adaptor using windows device manager and reinstalling after a restart

#2 Test the port using the hardware utiliy and automatically search for LORs

#3 Uninstall Everything, Restart the computer, and reinstalle all the LOR drivers and software again, restart the computer again, reload everything, and try again. (No crap, I had to do this the first time I used LOR because I didn't follow all the installation directions exactly.)

Good luck on getting it to work. It just might take a few hours.

Have you tried the Harware Utility program?

Have you set the panel address ?
Tried running one of the test from the utility editor?
