  FEATURED ATTRACTIONS

A typical day at the Pumpkin Festival starts when the gate opens at 10:00am. A $4.00 per person admission price (children in diapers are free) will include your tractor-drawn wagon rides to and from the pumpkin patch. The tractor will pull your wagon into the field where you can search for the perfect pumpkin, whether your intent is a scary jack-o-lantern or a mouth-watering pie. The wagons will return you to the tent area after your selection is complete. Local youths will assist you with the weighing of your pumpkins and then help you transport them to your car. The pumpkins are 50 cents per pound and we also have a large variety of gourds for sale. Additional festivities of the day include the challenge of our 11-acre corn maze, browsing through the arts & crafts tent, professional pumpkin carving, children's games, feeding the animals at the 4-H petting zoo, Zombie Paintball Shootout, jumping castle, inflatable slide/obstacle course, pedal cart race track and the Budweiser Beer Garden. After working up a hearty appetite you will be able to satisfy that hunger with a wide variety of food items including hamburgers, corn on-the-cob, Indian Fry Bread, carmel apples and pumpkin pie. Please visit our website and use the links above on our homepage to view detailed event information, dates and times of operation, admission prices, special discounts, corporate packages available, pet policy and directions to the farm. We also offer weekday morning school field trips by appointment only. If you require additional information, please call (520) 822-2277. We hope you will visit Buckelew Farm this October for a unique fall experience! From haunting zombies and pumpkins to Jolly St. Nick and Christmas trees, Buckelew Farm's 5th annual Christmas season has begun. 5 years ago Clint Buckelew traded pumpkins with a Christmas tree farmer in Oregon and decided to open a Christmas tree lot in Tucson. Clint has now expanded to 7 lots throughout the Tucson area: Swan & Sunrise, Ina & La Cholla, Oracle & Rudasil, 22nd & Harrison, Grant & Swan, Tanque Verde & Sabino Canyon and Ajo & I-19. The Christmas trees are fresh from Oregon and a brand new shipment arrives weekly. The trees are guaranteed fresh and smell wonderful. Nothing makes a home feel more like Christmas than the smell of a fresh Christmas tree. There are 4 different varieties of trees offered by Buckelew Farm: Douglas Fir, Noble Fir, Grand Fir and Nordman Fir. Trees range in size from 2 feet to 14 feet tall. Specialty sized Christmas trees may be available to order upon request. Buckelew Farm also offers firewood by the wheel barrel, fresh wreaths, chili strings, chili wreaths, tree stands and a jolly smile! Lot hours: Weekdays 10:00am- 8:30pm, Friday 10:00am-9:00pm, and weekends 9:00am-9:00pm. PLEASE NOTE, ALL CHRISTMAS TREES ARE SOLD AT AT THE TREE LOT LOCATIONS ONLY. NO TREES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE BUCKELEW FARM RESIDENCE. Thank you! Buckelew Farm Christmas tree lots are family owned and operated. Tucsonans buying from small family businesses help keep the economy in Tucson strong. Supporting local businesses keeps money in the local economy. The Tucson Citizen recently reported (November 2012), for every dollar that is spent at a local store, 68% of that goes to the local community through taxes and payroll. Clint and his family live locally in Tucson, grow our crops here, hire employees locally and keep money in the local economy. Buckelew Farm supports Northwest Fire Department charities and part of proceeds supports their charity. Northwest Fire Department will be holding their annual holiday toy drive at the Buckelew’s tree lot. General Information Your local Family Pumpkin Farm also sells Christmas Trees! The Christmas trees are fresh from Oregon and a brand new shipment arrives weekly. The trees are guaranteed fresh and smell wonderful. We have several Christmas Tree lots in the Tucson area. Please note, all Christmas trees are sold at the tree lot locations only (Swan & Sunrise, Ina & La Cholla, Oracle & Rudasil, 22nd & Harrison, Grant & Swan, Tanque Verde & Sabino Canyon and Ajo & I-19) . No trees are available at the Buckelew Farm residence.

  SEASONAL EVENTS AND PROMOTIONS

Terror in the Corn, a haunted corn maze that many people have told me is fun and a Tucson classic, is the most expensive option at $18 per person, but it includes both the Haunted Cornfield and corn maze experience by flashlight. There are also discounts available for Terror in the Corn only: this weekend, October 16 and 17, military receive $3 off admission price, and next Thursday, October 29, all college students receive $3 off admission price with valid school ID. There are food and drink (beer and wine are available but not to be taken into the cornfield or corn maze) vendors on site during the nighttime events. I have heard it gets pretty intense so children under 12 are not admitted and parental discretion is highly advised…consider yourselves warned! The event looks to be a ton of fun though and even the Buckelew Farm website is pretty successful at getting you in the spirit, so come and see what Halloween in the desert has in store for you!
