Philipsburg Manor transforms into a terrifying landscape ruled by the undead, the evil, and the insane. Visitors begin walking a haunted trail, stumbling upon scary scenes of a town driven mad by the Headless Horseman. The Hollow’s unfortunate inhabitants are all too ready to keep visitors from ever leaving. Creatures, human and otherwise, lurk in the shadows, ready to terrify the unsuspecting while incredible special effects disorient and unsettle. Elaborate costumes and the work of award-wining feature-film makeup artists make it all too real.

Those who survive the trail must still negotiate a twisted maze of horrors too terrible to describe, only to end up in the lair of the Horseman where a party is being thrown in his honor. Heads will definitely roll…maybe even your own!

Attracting widespread media attention last year including a feature on CBS national news, this event is NOT suitable for small children or the faint of heart, but it is Sleepy Hollow’s premier haunted attraction, right in the heart of the village.

Take Cross Westchester Expressway (I-287) West or NYS Thruway (I-87) North to Thruway Exit 9, last exit before Tappan Zee Bridge, Route 9, Tarrytown. At light turn left onto Route 119 West. Go one block to traffic light; turn right onto Route 9 North. Go approximately 2 miles to Philipsburg Manor on left. From Northern Westchester County:

Take Route 9 South into Sleepy Hollow. The entrance to Philipsburg Manor is on the right at the 2nd traffic light south of Phelps Hospital. From Rockland County, Upstate New York, Or New Jersey:

Take NYS Thruway (I-87) South; cross the Tappan Zee Bridge and exit immediately after the toll at Exit 9, Route 9 Tarrytown. At the light turn right onto Route 9 North. Go approximately 2 miles to Philipsburg Manor on left. From Manhattan (Autos Only):

Take the Henry Hudson Parkway North into the Saw Mill River Parkway. Take Exit 21W onto Route 119. At the end of the exit ramp turn right. Take Route 119 to the end. Turn right at the traffic light onto Route 9 North. Go approximately 2 miles to Philipsburg Manor on left.

Directions by Train

Metro-North's Hudson Line trains depart Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Take the express to Tarrytown (just 36 minutes from Manhattan) where cabs wait to meet trains. The cab ride to Philipsburg Manor is approximately 5 minutes. Though not necessary, you can reserve a cab: 914-631-TAXI. Check the train schedule online, or call 1-800-METRO-INFO.
