RI Haunted House HIGHLIGHTS: We are the largest Haunted Motel on the East Coast! During the 1938 hurricane there were 2 ships off the shore at Misquamicut beach both ships were stranded in the ocean and later had no survivors. Captain Bates commanded one of the vessels and his soul is rumored to have made it to shore and took up residency at the Sandy Shore Motel, now known as the ?Bates Haunted Motel.? Some people survived up to 2 weeks on life boats and floating on pieces of the shipwreck, with no food or water, cannibalism became rampant. Their partially devoured corpses landed on the shore of where the Bates Haunted Motel is located today.
Every October the ghosts of the dead arise to haunt anyone that dare to cross their path. Their taste for human flesh has never left their souls and they are hungry for more?
