| In 2010, two volunteer groups came together to create the new HAUNTSBURG Haunted House consisting of the people who previously brought you the Field of Screams Corn Maze in Danville and the group that put together the Haunts of Hidden River Haunted Hayrides in Brownsburg. Due to vandalism and weather problems year after year, the best-of-the-best haunters stopped their previous events to form Haunts of Hidden River Inc.
HAUNTSBURG 2010 was created in the old Blanck Chevrolet dealership in Brownsburg. With 21,000 square feet, we created one of the largest haunted houses ever constructed in central Indiana! The HAUNTSBURG Haunted House was quite an undertaking and turned out to be great!
Giving back to the community is what we are all about. In years past the hayrides have given money to fund the Town of Brownsburg's Christmas decorations as well as other community groups including but not limited to Brownsburg Key Club, Lions Club, Brownsburg Little League, Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce, Brownsburg Parks Foundation, and the Brownsburg Cheer Committee. The Field of Screams has previously benefited Project Angel of Hendricks County as well as Sheltering Wings. This past year we welcomed Project Lifesaver into the donations as well. |
