Here is my HONEST review of the show from WHAT I HAVE SEEN...
I saw this coming just like IAAPA the show has been taken over by smaller vendors with unique items. The bigger vendors are disappearing in a sea of smaller ones the old days are GONE. In the old days you'd run to the show to see what NEW BIG animation or prop is for sale... I haven't seen that this year or last year for that matter. I have not seen some animation/prop that you go I MUST HAVE THAT! Now keep in mind I haven't seen anything working yet, but you can see things and pretty much guess what they do. The show is now something you have to pay close attention to because there are so many vendors now, with so many cool little things being offered.
You have to walk thru this show STEP BY STEP - INCH BY INCH and take your time so you can see everything otherwise you'll probably miss something cool.
There is a LOT of masks, costumes things we all have demanded for years. Kudos its there and in force. Lots of companies trying to sell you weapons, props, tons of clowns, gory stuff is everywhere.
What the show is NOW is MORE than ANYONE ever thought it could be... there is a VR COMPANY who took the biggest booth I've ever seen at Transworld. There is a Christmas section that is simply MASSIVE! You have food vendors, companies offering services, its everything and anything you could ever want all in one place.
This show has changed and changed drastically... it's no longer a haunted house show this is an ENTERTAINMENT SHOW.
If you want cool stuff for your haunt you'll find it, but now the options of things to think about and consider are endless.

Thanks for the awesome behind-the-scenes photos, Larry! I'm loving that tilted shack building - looks like something I'd have on my property year-round.... if I owned property. Interesting that VR has taken such a foothold in Transworld. Personally, I get motion sickness if "plugged in" too long, which is a real shame because I found Resident Evil VR to be downright f*cking terrifying.
I've seen the Barfing Bubbles Gargoyle from Distortions in action in their videos, and it's really fun. Looking forward to more photos!!
