  • Fake Snake 13th Gate

I was watching hauntworld the movie part 17 last night, and they were featuring a walkthru of the 13th gate haunt.

They had a scene with someone holding a snake that looked extremely realistic- in fact, it may have actually been real- it would move exactly like a real snake.

But my question is- Are there such things as FAKE snakes that have an internal moving system so it moves and looks just like the real thing?

I can imagine someone walking thru the line with a moving snake slung over their shoulder. Frightening.

If you know where I could get one, or what they are called, that would be great
    Or if they even exist...

The last Blacksmith in town had a pet Bull snake. Guys would gather in the blacksmith shop to socialise and play cards.
Nobody had pet reptiles in this part of the world then and fancy heat lamps for snakes was unheard of so Leo (the "Smithy") would simply wrap the long snake around himself to keep the snake warm in the winter.
The guys were all standing around the pot bellied stove keeping warm when the bull snakes head came out of the center of Leo's chest (or so it seemed) to seek warmth too.
Needless to say not everybody around the stove that day knew about Leo's pet so it caused quite a stir for a short while!
Wouldn't this be a good way to really scare someone if the fake/realistic snake could be built to do this.
You would only have to build a very short snake to make it happen too.

      probably real snake,
check out fright kingdom's video on you tube they show a guy in a casket holding a snake at one part and im almost certain its real.
im sure there are non venomous snakes they can use, they just have to take saftey measures still.

ok, so they were using real snakes.

Is there such thing as fake snakes that move like the real thing?

I think there must be somewhere, I just can't find anything.

We have TONS of snakes all over the darkness and they LOOK REAL... I'll dig out the url later and send it over. But you have to paint them yourself!

BUT THEY ARE SO REAL YOU'D NEVER KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!!!

But Larry wouldn't the paint job on the snakes be the most important part of it to make it look real?
Slopping paint with a big old wide brush in just one color probably wouldn't fool too many people would it?
I had a real but stuffef little alligator I put a sun dress on it and dark glasses and nobody thought it was real, until they touched it. Then it was too late!
"You touched a real, dead alligator! You touched it! Yes you did!"
It looked so friendly with a smile on it's face.
