  • review site charging for ads?

seems like the trend now since every city has about three to four groups of "reviewers" who want to get comped at the door and write a review about a haunt. I have seen a lot of reviewer groups charging attractions to have links or banner graphics on their site. Is it just me or is this not only bad form, but a serious breach of trust and conflict of interest. I'm curious to know what everyone else thinks about this.

I think it is bad for a reviewer to ask for tickets to review your haunt - for two reasons one is most" reveiwers" have no more credentials to review than I credentials to do brain surgery and number two is it's like a food critic asking for a free meal to review the food - even though most reviewers have kissed our asses to tell us how scary Fright Factory is
