    Prop Chainsaw Blade- Prototype

    Hey everyone,

    I have been working on a safe, prop chainsaw blade to attach to a real chainsaw. It is cast out of Latex and is foam filled. I painted it and sealed it with a rubber weather proof coating. The blade has a wooden insert that helps stabilize it and attaches it into the chainsaw housing itself (just like the real bar). I am doing another casting soon that will have a metal insert to make it stronger.

    Let me know what you think. I cranked up the chainsaw the other day with the blade and all after drilling a hole in the muffler. This thing is loud!

    Thats pretty cool. I would grime up the actual chainsaw to match. I took one of mine and rusted it up and attached a small foam skull to the front. Then I perma blooded the bar up, it came out pretty cool!

      Yeah I will be griming it up soon. I am still looking for a paint that will stick well to the plastic body.

        They make spray paint

        in a can that is supposed to be just for plastic. If you can use spray paint.

          Yeah I've used that stuff before, it works okay, plastic is just a tricky thing to paint.

          lol, yeah I'm not sure if I can use spray paint... may need to look up a tutorial.

              Very cool! Definitely a neat concept, maybe another version with more spikes on the chain, smaller/closer together? Or different paint job...I don't know, just suggestions for other designs. Great job!

                Thanks everyone! Yeah this one was made for a certain character, so it has kind of a special look in mind.
