  • 2014 seminars should be attendable online

Wondering if there's been any thought to seminars being streamed via gotomeeting?

Online streeming would be quite lovely.

WOW, THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!! It's a total win-win... Transworld could charge a fee for online participation, and people who can't make it to the show can still get the training. Whichever haunt convention starts doing this first is going to tap a large, un-served market. I know the biggest annual video game industry convention has streaming of their seminars. So does the annual casino gaming show in Vegas.

This might be a touchy subject for Transworld, from a vendor looking in, would a $50 online seminar deter people from attending the show? Would the seminars see a boost and the show floor see a decline? From a haunter on a budget side, it'd be a huge save on money, but wouldn't it be cooler to go to the show and see it in person and network with other haunters at the show and at the seminar? There's two sides to every coin.....I don't know if it would be in the shows best interest, even though I could see the potential in it being largely appreciated.

In all fairness, I feel the people that are able to make it to an event, will be there. I think the hands on experience is amazing and you can get more out of viewing new products and interacting in a way you cant over stream. But to those whom cant travel in such occasions would be the ones who'd be willing to pay to just stream. If there is a drop, I don't foresee sales changing so much throughout the season. Especially the bigger ticket purchases. Just my opinion though.

              It's a Different Thing but...

I will never allow a complete video of Ravens Grin to be made ..:"I don't need to go there I saw it "on-line".
I have been told by many over the years that seeing it in-person and being here is so much more impressive than any photography can ever make it. Why place a "lesser thing" out there?
How many videos could anyone sell before the number of duped copies would out number the ones sold?
It seems to happen very quickly, doesn't it?

I think there refering to something like live stream, not so much as selling DVD's.

Exactly and being in person wouldn't offer any benefit, numerous corporations often conduct training sessions with satellite offices in the same manner. Entire educational institutions are online too.

I have been saying this for years that they should put them online or sell a DVD for those of use who cant attend all of these conferences. We are Attending the Ohio conference but they have yet to even put detail up.
