My DVR is set to HIGH this weekend. Everything I can get my hands on Halloween is being recorded. I just need to finish off the collection. Right now I have America's Scariest Haunted Attractions (1,2,3) and American Haunts (1,2). Just need 3,4

Penhurst as seen on America Haunts

WOW...fist post, but the Penhurst place in Penn will be amazing and huge. There will need to be a lot of work done, but holy crap...there won't need to be that much done, just good actors and good control of the crowds through certain rooms. I would love to see any updates on this if there is any.

        Scream-O-Vision and Pennhurst!!

American Haunts III was great!! Pennhurst Institute of Fear is gonna be AMAZING!!! I have to say that Randy Bates is ONE lucky man!! I'd be too scared to every build an attraction there...haha...

        If you hated scream-o-vision BEFORE...

They used it wayyyy too much in this episode!! I think if you compiled them all it would easily be a fourth of the episode...hahaha...everyone who was featured: AWESOME WORK!!!!

All of America Haunts 1,2,3, and 4 will be showing Saturday morning. I'm gonna tape them. Starting at 10am on the travel channel and the last one ends at 2pm I think. Just want to let you the people know who missed the showings during this week (like me)

I have seen 1,2 and most of 3. I am waiting to catch 4.

Three seemed like an advertisement for the renovation of the asylum in PA . They stated that it will be opening in 2010. Seemed like a great place for a haunt. Even though there was some good info I was kind of turned off because it seemed like more or an add for a place that was not even finished yet.

Related question...how many of you are running commercials on these shows?

From my perspective, anyone willing to sit through shows about haunts, are likely haunt demographics. If the shows get them excited, you can be getting them excited about your haunt.

Sure, targeted advertising is more expensive, but instead of reaching random people, you are reaching only people who like haunts enough to watch them on TV.

There are three rules to designing a haunt. Unfortunately, nobody knows what they are.

The production team behind those shows is very talented. They really know how to make attractions look even better than they actually are in reality. I caught one of the attractions that was on one of the shows the other night, and it rocked a lot harder on the show than it did in real time. You got to love the magic of the boob tube.

Adam, I agree. However, speaking with a lot of people that are not Haunt Enthusiasts (such as ourselves) really enjoyed the Scare-o-vision.. I suppose seeing people scream and fall down is not something some people are used to seeing. lol.

I loved the show and I'm truly honored to have been a part of it.
