  • Gore Galore Haunted Attraction

    The year has arrived.
Gore Galore in affiliation with www.silverwoodthemepark.com is designing, installing, consulting, and implementing our biggest Haunted Attraction design to date.
We are not merely designing an Attraction for Silverwood but, reworking 2 other first year attractions, reworking scare zones along the patron travel paths, retheming the entire park, and I will be onsite during the season to help it run more smoothly.
We have been working since we returned from Transworld on the design, and now we are finally starting to see things coming together.
Next week the building will be cleaned and blacked out. Install a new entrance at the front of the building for a more clear entrance and exit.

The first 2 images are the open floorplan of the museum for the Scarywood main attraction "Bayou Nightmare". this is only the tentative title. We haven't secured a name yet, so this is just the working title. I am open to suggestions. This is the key attraction until we develop a new one for next season at the back of the facility with another 5 to 6,000 square foot attraction.
The Bayou Nightmare is 7500 sq feet and has a control room above with computer control dmx lighting, zone audio, prop control override, electric distribution, and announcement system with emergency override.

The last 2 images are shots of the control room area and a shot from the control room to the floor of the maze.

I will use this thread to show you progress pics, get your feedback and we are also open to suggestions.

Awesome you must be very excited. Do you have any info on your emergency override system, as in where to get those at a good price?

    Thanks, keep us updated!

      Midfright Express

The next attraction is known as Midfright Express. It is the only family friendly event with a 2 skull rating. The other attractions will be rated 4 to 5 skulls and too intense for young children.

Here is an image of the awesome operational antique steam train pulling 5 passenger cars the patrons ride for the attraction.
What I love most about the company and the family that run it is their love for their theme park and all the work they have put into making this a beautiful place to visit. All of the buildings they designed and built themselves.

The second image is a shot of the mine scene on the midfright express.
2 miners come out and attack a confederate on the train. They drag her into the mine and kill her.
The interesting part of the design is their is a conductor at the back of the train that controls the timing of the events. When it is time he just hits a button and the audio script is played. And we maybe putting some pneumatic switching the train trips when it reaches certain points of the track to activate the props and scenes along the way.

The third image is a shot of a scene in the third attraction. "Terror Canyon". What is fun about this attraction is it takes place in an empty log flume. The waterway is the train the customers have to walk on. We are custom designing the main character and maybe producing 20 to 30 of these creatures for this event. It will be very customer driven in that we will let their imagination do alot of the work. They will only get glimpses for the first third of the event. Then more and more until they get outright attacked by the creatures close to the end of the event.
The fourth image is a shot of the inside of the cave the attack will take place in.

        emergency

It is part of the zone audio system we are designing right now. What it means is when an emergency announcement is made everything else goes quiet when the announcement is made, and the emergency light system comes on. It will ALL be integrated. We are hoping it will be one of the those things that just will hopefully make an evacuation go more smoothly and quietly in an emergency.
