  • Foam Axe Prop (Prototype)

This is the first prototype of a Foam Axe Prop I have been working on. It's 36 in. long and has a flexible foam head with a wooden handle. Keep in mind, no fancy paint work has been done on it. The real ones will be fully painted, the handles will be aged, and some adjustments will be done to the foam head.

Just wanted to share, let me know what you all think!

I'm casting a new one tomorrow and will hopefully be able to have it painted before I go on vacation. If I do, I will post some pics before I leave.

It could be, it was loosely based on Pluto's Axe from Hills Have Eyes, very rugged, almost as if a Mutant hammered it out himself.

I like it man. The detail work on it is amazing! I agree it is a bit fantasy, but you know, realistic fantasy still scares the hell out of people.

It looks really good man. Are you going to possibly be selling these too?

I just finished painting one of the new ones, but I am leaving for vacation so I won't really have time to post pics of it. I definitely will when I get back though.

These will be for sale soon.

Here's the Axe it was somewhat based off of http://www.dreadcentral.com/img/news.../hillspic1.jpg.

The idea with this Axe is for it to be very unique, but still realistic. Stay tuned for the finished pics.
