  • Blacklight strobes

Does anyone have a source for good quality blacklight strobes? I thought Larry's company sold them, but I don't see them on the web site.

    Thanks,

If you want the company that actually makes them go to www.acclights.com . They are also resold by Wildfire and GEP.

I was looking for info on these years ago, everyone said that Halloween Productions had them, but I never received any response when I inquired.

And Barry, I don't see them on that site you posted...I think I found the right one on Wildfire, does $1100 sound right? When I was looking the pricing I could find was 400-500.

Chauvet and Am. Dj sell LED Blacklight panels now. They have pre-sets for different effects. As they are DMX ready you can use the nifty little USB DMX interface that Creative Visions sell. Its the same one that was used for the Skulltronix show. These LED lights are the future, Compact, require little power, have a life of around 10,000 hours and produce little heat. Try Chauvet direct or our favorite company Pro Sound and Lighting.
Listen to them, Children of the night. Oh what music they make.

I bought one of the Chauvet LED Shadows today. It looks like it's gonna work pretty well. I will let you know after I try it in the haunt this weekend.

The fluorescent version of a strobe has been around for a while. We tried them a couple of years ago and we were disappointed by the low intensity compared with a typical 750 watt strobe. We designed and built our own 750 watt true blacklight strobe and hoped we could market it but the heat generated was pretty tremendous at high flash rates.

We finally used the blacklight strobe at out haunt last year and the effect was amazing. Just wish we had more time to develop this as a commercial product
