I have currently started on our 2012 haunted house, we have many things in store for this year..... The First Project I have selected is to build 7, 11' by 36" inch trees. These Trees were influenced by a post someone made on fiberglass Trees a few years ago on this forum. The RoT trees will be made out of 1/2" ply, ripped down 2x4's, Black Aluminum Screen material, Burlap, and Resin. I will try to complete a walk through photo process on creating these trees. I will try to get a camera to film some other how to's as well. But first thing first!
First step: Take 1/2 Inch plywood and draw a tree design on it for our case a 36" at base by 8' tree, the tree size varies with a wave like patterns.
second step: Take 1/2" ply and draw another tree designs on it, but make sure to cut this one tree in half to make two half pieces.... these pieces will go perpendicular to the piece cut in step one, with 1 3/4" wood reinforcement.
