When we opened our haunt Fearfest in Columbia Mo. In 2003 we had no idea how well it would be received in our community. We were welcomed with open arms and our haunt has grown every year since.
After many expansions and improvements I felt there was still something missing. That’s when I began searching for something different. Something more interactive that EVERYONE young or old could enjoy as a family that could be used any time of the year not just as a seasonal business.
In 2010 we created such an attraction and introduced our Zombie Safari Paintball Hayride at Fearfest. It was a huge success, perfect for what we were looking for. Fun for all ages and 100% interactive. If you are old enough to pull the trigger on a paintball gun you are old enough to play.
This attraction allowed us to get a younger customer base that normally wouldn’t come to a haunt because they were to young. It imbedded in their mind that going to Fearfest is a fun and exciting experience soon to be a tradition during the Halloween season. When they grow older these young customers will become patrons of not just our Zombie Safari but also the haunts themselves.
Fast forward to 2012. Haunts across the country have shown interest in our Zombie Safari Paintball Attraction. We were going to open Fearfest for a bus tour again this year for Transworld to show off our attraction. The only drawback was the distance away from the Convention Center, almost 2 hours.
I received a call from Larry Kirchner asking if I would be interested in debuting our paintball attraction at Creepyworld. He was kind enough to offer his Tombstone Haunted Ghost town because it would be closer to the Convention Center. I thought it would be a great idea so we worked out the details.
For Transworld we have organized a haunt tour that will showcase our Zombie Safari Paintball Attraction at Creepyworld along with an opportunity to view one of the best most detailed trailer haunts in the country. To top off your evening of fun, The Lemp Caverns Haunted Attraction will be the final destination on the tour.
For your convenience we have hired motor coaches to make it easier for everyone to get back and forth from the Convention center to all the haunts on the tour for Friday night. We have done everything possible to make your tour of the haunts an enjoyable experience and we look forward to seeing you on the tour and at the show.
