Need Feedback On Coupon Idea

Anybody ever tried the one dollar off coupon idea that has a three digit number on the back for each of your actors and other employees to hand out and for each coupon you get back containing that actor or employees personal three digit number you pay them one dollar as well?

Does it get a better return than just handing out mass amounts to anybody or leaving stacks at gas stations, video stores, etc?

If you have I’d like to hear your feedback on your success or failure with it and what to expect.

The idea I heard, that I liked alot, was handing them out to school clubs....the club got the $1 and the club that did the best got an additional $1. This creates competition and is a great fund raiser for school clubs.
