I made a drop portrait, Its NOT done... I still need ot add a portrait, I need to paint the wall, add detail and other things, This is one panel to our haunt so there isnt much. I just want to know everyones opinions on it is so please feel free to give critisism. Let me know whats good and bad on it! (Besides it not being painted) Oh and sorry for the mess of props, I dont have much in august and I just threw some stuff in to give it a more spooky eye to it. Not half as professional as it will be. I must say tho not a bad thing I made for just $16. Thats seriously how much it was...

care to share the details of how it was built? like actual items to make one for 16 bucks.
i make mine for like 50 plus dollars fully framed out of 2x4 and they are so loud its like a gunshot when you drop it it echos throughout the whole building. i feel like its a little over kill for spots, hahaha so some nice cheap alternatives would be nice =)Owner of The Fear Experience Haunted House in Cleveland, Ohio, voted the #1 haunted house in Ohio, and #14 in America by Funtober. The Fear Experience Haunted House was called the premier haunted attraction in northeast ohio by cleveland.com and #1 in cleveland by metromix.

Well the picture frame and stuff I had around the house so that was free, I bought a 6.99 sheet of partical board, 4x8 of course, and I bought 4 2x4's for about 1.99 around. Framed the partical board, cut out the frame and screwed it on. For the actual drop portrait I will post pictures tommorow morning to show you guys how its all build. Cheap easy stuff, most used from scrap. I also do ALOT of garbage picking, People throw away good stuff for shit like this.. $16 for a panel AND drop portrait. I think thats a steal. I will say its rather dangerous. Keep your fingers under the fram as it falls by accident you might not have any :/Last edited by The Forsaken Crypt; 08-09-2009, 08:12 PM.

it looks great. especially for $16!!! LOL....
I built ours of our scrap too. the panel is 3/4 inch plywood so it is freaking loud when it drops. we used it above a fireplace a few years ago (video below) then I reused the panel frame assemble and moved it to our current haunt as a chalk board right behind the guests as they stand in the entry room. What did you use at the top to latch the panel to the top?
