Mehron makes a thinner but personally I used distilled water. As for clogs, I do not have any problems. I think it has more to do with the guns than anything else.

My personal choice for haunt work is same as Barry. I use the Iwata Eclipse and Mehron liquid with some Garfotbian in there from time to time. (I like the corpse colors from Graftobian. ) I will say I started with the Paasche and Vegas, so you can spend less on a gun and still do fine. You don't have to jump into the Iwata from day one. But if you are doing this and set, your spending the cash. Hands down, the Iwata Eclipse is the best bang for the buck I have used.

As for a Mehron mix, how much mixing liquid to liquid makeup, you can search the effects lab forum and find the mix out there. Its basically 1/3 or 1/4 thinner to your liquid makeup. For me I never thin with water or Mehron thinner, it makes it rub off. You can mix the makeup with other products and actually make it set and even be semi-waterproof. This gives you the advantage of using the low cost Mehron with the stick of more high end makeup. Trust me, you have to work at removing it the way I mix it.

Here is a formula for turning Kryolan Aqua Colors into airbrush makeup.

Remember to sift any colors like this through a paint screen before using. And for safety's sake, use less than ten pounds of air pressure when spraying makeup on human skin.
