  • Escape from St Louis - St Louis is on FIRE

Well it happened the thugs are burning down the city, already 10 buildings on fire, a police officer was shot, looting, and now to top it off our airport is shut down. Yeah you heard it right the air port is CLOSED no flights allowed into St Louis right now.

They also tried to shut down a highway... its not safe here right now.

For those who don't know Escape from New York was actually filmed in St Louis. An entire section of the city had burned down, there was a demolished bridge and all the rest was filmed under our pre-restored Union Station. So basically the entire movie was filmed here ... now they came come and film the new remake they are planning.

St Louis is on fire tonight. I don't know how or what impact this will have in relation with the haunt tradeshow.

I have no idea how long this will go on or how destructive things will get.

    Right now its really bad.

        Transworld will be fine

Even if things escalate tonight. The city would have to be destroyed to keep haunters away from their March event.

That would be cruel to the zombies

I have seen very little evidence of brains on the streets.

                It may become difficult

To put on a show of phoney terror , when it is apearing live, and for Real, right in the street. Will people want to pay for such a pretend experience when their minds are actually put-off and scared by reality?
Not good for any of us anywhere.

For those wondering yes the rioting continues... they have shut down the biggest mall in St Louis a few nights ago, last night they again shut down a major highway, and they now plan to march from St Louis to Jefferson City to shut down the government buildings there.

I heard like 12 or something of the people arrested the other day out of like 14 arrested where from another state!

There simply is a lot of people with no life, no job and nothing better to do than cause chaos here. I don't think they plan on stopping anytime soon. I'm betting everything I've got they will be protesting at the Rams/Raiders game today.

It is mostly safe here ... but they continue acts of violence and civil disobedience. In short St Louis is NOT a great place to be right now.

I'm almost betting that once the Cardinals start their season they will protest that as well. Apparently they have websites that tell protesters where to go each day and night.

I don't know how long this will last but I'm thinking it will last in some form way past the Halloween show. And if you are wondering YES this also contributed to my horrible Halloween season... I just can't catch a break here. The Cardinals made to the NLCS AGAIN... then they got bumped it rained and poured that weekend. There wasn't great press because they talked mostly about this Ferguson thing... it basically owns the local media here on a daily basis.

                      I had a phone call

"I have been through Ravens Grin many times! I love it! I am a producer for The Jerry Springer TV Show, and I just want to somehow feature your house on his show, but I can't come up with a premiss to do that. you give this some thought , Jim and call me next week."
"Next Week" came. i could not come up with a premiss either, but I was trying to return his call anyway. The phone would not work?
I'm just calling Chicago!? It would not work a little later either?
I turned on the News, two large jet planes had just crashed into two big buildings in New York.
I guessed that my little haunted house would not be compeating at all with this new news story involving what it all entailed and would keep involving people's thoughts and minds for quite a time to come.

As predicted they did protest the Rams game then the Rams players did some mocked version of hands up don't shoot... horrible.

They shut down a Walmart and a Target in the same day. You don't really hear about violence anymore just running around trying to be disruptive.

                          Larry,

They are rioting everywhere now so I don't really think it matters where the tradeshow is or isn't at this point. They shot an unarmed guy in Arizona last night they are rioting. Something is going on in Cleveland and New York due to police killing people. The whole country has erupted.

I don't agree that its going to be anything to worry about in St Louis. In fact I think your town has already seen the worst of it.
