Old Gray Cemetery is well-know and visitng often by many of the ghost hunters in and around the Knoxville, Tennesse area.  This cemetery is also one of Knoxville's oldest graveyards.  Many who have visited have claimed to have the presence of  a certain ghost or spirits there with them.  They claim they have not actually seen a figure of a person, but more of a ghostly shadow among them.  Like many cemeteries, they can feel spooky just in themselves.  Many of the Ghost Hunters have reported the encounters they have had are more than just feelings.  There are real ghost lurking around the Old Gray Cemetery. 

The University of Tennessee is located in Knoxville and the building itself dates back to 1794.   Over the years there have been several reportings of ghost sightings.  Every Halloween there is somewhat of a gathering of the students in honor of the ghosts that walk the same hall they do.  They celebrate life and the dead and tell the many ghost happenings and stories that have happened over the years. 

There are actually three graves that are located on the campus.  The first and perhaps the most popluar is "Hamilton Mound"  This is an Indian burial ground that is said to contain anywhere from 10 to 100 graves.  The one and only grave on the main campus is that of "Bonita" who was the pet dog THis grave is in the yard of the Tyson Alumni House and was given to Lawrence and Betty Tyson by Ulysses S. Grant Jr. (son of U.S. President Grant).  There is one last grave and that is of the first President of the University of Tennessee.  It was planned to have a large monumnet placed,but the money was not raised and so it remans as a simple headstone.
