Tennessee is filled with other very haunted cities like Memphis, Tennessess and Nashville where you can find more than country music you can find screams coming from every corner of the city. Memphis Tennessee is one of the best cities in America to visit to get a taste of what life was like in America back in the 50's as many of the classic buildings are still up and running today. Memphis Tennessee includes the civil rights museum, see the hotel where Martin Luther King was shot and killed, to Elvis Presley home at Graceland to Sun Studios tour where all the greats recorded their first albums. Find the best and scariest haunted houses, real haunts, Halloween attractions, Hayrides and more near or in the Memphis, Tennesse area.  Memphis is just one of the cities in the South that is home to many ghost stories.  Wheter you believe in ghosts or not, many can be very entertaining to read and others feel so real you can't help but believe.

There is a old, run down bard in downtown Memphis called Ernestine and Hazel's.  The customers and employees are unsure who it is that hauntes the bar, but they are all agree on one thing, there are ghosts!  There are reported sightings of ghostly figures being spotted at the bar.  The jukebox will start playing at random.  There are always strange noises and smells.  ALthough the bar is in very bad shape and needs a lot of help.  The owners of Ernestine and Hazel's have decided to keep the bar just the way it it is, afraid chainging it would "disturb" the history.

Another frightening and scary location in Memphis is the Ornamental Mental Museum.  I think the name explains it all.  Once home to the Old Marine Hospital, this building has a lot of history.  The basement of the museum was once used as the hospital's morgue and during the city's epidemic of yellow fever there were thousands of victims.  Today many of the voices and strange activity come from the basement.  It is thought to be coming from the lost souls of the victims that had lost their lives to yellow fever.

The Orpeum Theatre is home to one of Memphis' most popular ghost.  A little gir lwho was killed when a she was hit by a car in fron ofthe Orpeum.  She is known to play many childish pranks such as opening and slammng doors and she is alwasy heard laughing.  If you want to try and find her she is often times sitting in her favortie seat, C-5.  There has been many other paranormal activity and experts have discoverd that there could be as many as 6 other ghost that haunt the Orpeum Theatre.

In additional there are many ghost tours, and other real haunted house places throughout Tennessee.  Find the best haunted houses and more here at
