School Field Trips Offering educational field trips to pre-school and elementary age students is a priority for us at 4D Farm. We believe it’s important that the heritage and dynamics of agriculture is something that all children have the chance to be exposed to. It just so happens that we’re able to help accomplish that goal in a fun and unique way. We invite you to bring your students to come get lost in our classroom in the corn! When Are Fall Field Trips? Field trips are available for school groups October 1- November 2 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Friday mornings. What’s Included on a Fall Field Trip? Each field trip includes: •Online curriculum materials for you to share with your students either before of after a visit to our farm. •A LESSON on how corn and pumpkins grow. Older students will be more in-depth, with a greater focus on corn. Younger students will have a greater focus on pumpkins. •A visit with our farm animals. We will discuss what the animals provide and how we care for the animals. •A hayride to the pumpkin patch. We will have “Spookley the Square Pumpkin” displayed on storyboards throughout our patch. Chaperones will have the opportunity to share the story of Spookley and discuss the importance of being kind to others. •A cow train ride, a trip down our 80 ft slide, and a turn on Johnny Popper (Our HUGE jumper) for each student. •A trip through phase one of our corn maze. Older groups may choose to tackle the entire maze. Maze passports will be available to help find your way by answering questions for clues. •A visit with our racing pigs! •Play in our 2 story fun barn…filled with fun animal facts. •Play in our sand pit, horse hops, spider web, swings, hay jump, tire mountain, corn bin, and steer roping. Each Student will Receive… •A small pumpkin •A voucher for a free return visit to 4D Farm for each student! How Much does it Cost? $7.00 for students and chaperones….No charge for teachers, school nurses, and school principals. - From Cullman: Take Highway 278 East to the red light in Berlin. Turn left at the 4-way stop sign at Center Hill on county road 747. Go to the 4-way stop in Welti. Turn right on county road 703. Go 1.9 miles and turn right. You will see a large blue 4D Farm sign. Parking will be on the left. From Birmingham: Take I-65 North to Exit 287. Drive until you reach Hanceville and turn right on Highway 91 towards Center Hill. Turn left at the 4-way stop sign at Center Hill on county road 747. Go to the 4-way stop in Welti. Turn right on county road 703. Go 1.9 miles and turn right. You will see a large blue 4D Farm sign. Parking will be on the left. From Huntsville: Take I-65 South to the highway 278 exit, in Cullman. Take highway 278 East to the red light in Berlin. Turn right at the red light on county road 747.
