Join us at Pumpkin Valley Farm on Sunday, September 29th from 9am to 4pm for The Chain Reaction bike ride! The Chain Reaction is a fundraising bicycle ride in the scenic Saco River area of York County. The ride celebrates kids and the adults who mentor them, raising funds for the Community Bicycle Center in Biddeford and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine. A choice of lengths will accommodate bicyclists, from casual to experienced. Rest stops provided. Unique to this ride is the setting…the Chain Reaction begins and ends at Pumpkin Valley Farm, a family farm located in the beautiful southern Maine town of Dayton along the Saco River. Cyclists entry fee includes access to all the farm has to offer including a 6 acre corn maze, farm animals, ear of corn launcher, jumping pillow, and more…plus a healthy, delicious lunch! A 6-acre labyrinth of twists, turns and dead ends carved through stalks over your head! Most maze-goers spend on average an hour trying to maneuver their way out of the mind-boggling puzzle! No worries though, the maze is designed in two phases for an early exit halfway. Challenge yourself using clues and fun games to help find your way. Every year the maze has a new design... This year’s adventure is "Tri For A Cure".
Maze-goers can try to navigate their own way through the maze or use a Passport. Each Passport has 10 questions with multiple choice answers. After you answer a question it will tell you to go either left or right at designated posts throughout the maze. Some of the passport topics are sports, trivia, Halloween and tiny tots. If you answer all the questions correctly, you will find the exit! If you answer them wrong, well...
