ABOUT "Hotel of Horror"
Welcome to the infamous Hotel of Horror, where two centuries of history have decomposed into one of Pennsylvania's most acclaimed haunted attractions. Hidden deep within the Pocono Mountains, the historic Lake House Hotel has become something far more sinister than the resort it once was. Within its weathered walls dwell to haunted attractions that exist less like neighbors and more like conjoined twins- Sharing organs, a circulatory system, and a heartbeat that never quite stopped. The ancient subconscious of Hotel of Horror feeds upon the dark memories soaked into the timber skeleton of this once- grand mountain hotel, while Altered Nightmares celebrates the beautiful chaos that grows stronger with every soul wandering it's impossible corridors. Five sprawling floors carry guests from forgotten basements to abandoned guest rooms, shadowed hallways, decaying ballroom, towering attics, and places no hotel architect should have ever designed. Somewhere inside these walls, history and nightmare, have become impossible to separ For more than three decades, Hotel of Horror has drawn devoted Horror and Halloween fans from across the United States and beyond. Housed inside a genuine 200+ year-old historic hotel with documented hauntings, and an atmosphere that cannot be manufactured, every season introduces new sets, characters, scenes, and nightmares while remaining rooted inside the legendary Lake House Hotel itself. Please enter with caution. The staff have long since disappeared. The patients now supervise the doctors. The building occasionally rearranges itself. And the Hotel... Remembers every guest. Both attractions are completely indoors, open rain or shine, and feature a covered queue. Conveniently located just off route 33 near interstate 80, 78, and Route 22 in the Pocono Mountains, Hotel of Horror continues to redefine what a haunted attraction can become when the building itself refuses to let go of its past. Some haunted houses are built for October. This one has been waiting for over 200 years.
