Welcome to vb30 – Das Halloween Haus, tucked into the small village of Boostedt in Schleswig-Holstein, just outside Neumünster in northern Germany. What started in 2019 with a pumpkin garland and two dangling ghosts has grown into one of the most talked-about Halloween experiences north of the Elbe - and it earned us a top spot in Germanys Haunted Attraction scene. All that without charging a dime. That's right. Free. Always has been. Always will be. Every year, our front yard at Vossbarg 30 transforms into a fully themed walk-through experience that pulls in well over 1,000 visitors in a single night. Twenty-plus volunteers - performers, builders, tech crew, makeup artists, costume designers - pour more than two thousand hours into every season. We haul over 25 cubic meters of décor out of storage, take two full weeks of vacation just to build the thing, and tear it all down again in the days that follow. Then we start designing the next one. Each year carries a brand-new theme and a brand-new story written from scratch. We've conjured the witches of Boostedt. We've unleashed the monsters of the Baltic coast. We visited the disturbing fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. And we don't repeat ourselves - when you walk through vb30 this year, it's nothing like the year before. New rooms. New scares. New nightmare. Inside the experience, you'll find a high production value just as in large attractions: layered lighting design, multi-channel audio, animatronics, scent effects, hand-built sets, custom-made props, and - most importantly - live scare actors who actually know what they're doing. Our team has stage lighting credits from major musical productions and concert tours in their day jobs. They bring that to the haunt. It shows. We also run a parallel Grusel-Wusel-Nacht - a gore-free, family-friendly zone for younger guests who want the magic of Halloween without the trauma. Same atmosphere, dialed down. Because we believe nobody should be left out of a good Halloween night. vb30 has been featured by major german news outlets and even made the front page of some of them. Why do we do it? Because Boostedt deserves it. Because Halloween in Germany deserves to be more than a couple of pumpkins on a porch. And because nothing beats watching a grown adult flinch at exactly the right beat in a story we built with our own hands.
